3 versions (the process)

Recently a surfer friend asked me a portrait.

He gave me some pictures of himself longboarding so I could work on "likeness".

Here is the process that brought me to the final image:

1) I've done the first watercolor to study the position and the silhouette.
It's maybe my favourite because it has a sort of primitivity.

2) The main porposal of the second is to study colors and the shape of the wave.

3) The third is the final work, with a duble plexiglass frame.

what do you think about it?
I'd love to hear your opinion.

Diletta Albertini (songs about love)

Diletta's fabulous world is made of soft colors, young faces and simple lines.

Her art is truly childish, 100% instinct.
Expressions and interesting faces are the leitmotif.

Diletta Albertini herself is a thin line with the longest blond hair.
A lot of people I met look like their creations, which makes things very honest.

In this case:
painting is an excuse to speak about love and tenderness.

There is an imperfection that makes Diletta's illustrations precious.
Very true and silent.

what do you think about it?
I'd love to hear your opinion...

fishing for religion

they asked me why "fishing for religion"
I'll try to explain the philosophy:

1) sometime you catch...sometime not at all. therefore fishing is a zen exercise.

2) fresh fish + vegetable everyday = longevity. Like japanese people do.

3) Fishing is going back to the roots. The seea is like a big supermarket where you don't need money.

enjoy the ride

About Marianna, once again.

Marianna Zanella is not only a great illustrator.
She also designes scarves. Oh yes.

Have a look and enjoy!

Conosco un sacco di gente che lavora sodo per creare delle immagini. Tutto questo è magico perchè crea un flusso di energia senza fine.

marianna

I confess: I'm in love with Marianna Zanella's Illustrations.
she used to be my student at IUAV, and after a few years she become my assistant.

why?

She does great portaits,
She adds "the special touch",
She spreads the italian style in the world.

I have no words to describe these amazing drawings.
The images themselves only can doit.

stoked!
